About Our Speaker: Mary Ellen (Meg) has vast experience as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years, primarily in the field of Oncology, as an Oncology nurse, Nurse Navigator and Case Manager in both the clinic and acute care settings. She brings experience across multiple disease states, public health and home health settings. Her work the past five years has been in the pharmacology field, working as a Clinical Nurse Educator launching novel drugs for Novartis, Janssen Oncology, and most recently Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America, for a novel ALS drug. Meg’s national certifications include: Oncology Nurse Certified, Case Management Certification, and previously Infusion Nurse Certified.

Her work history also includes: Nurse Manager for Walgreen Infusion Services, Nurse Manager in Home Health settings, and Hospital-wide Infusion Coordinator for Surgery and Radiology Placement of Central Lines.

Meg received her BSN at Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma WA) and has been a member of multiple professional clinical societies promoting the value of nursing standards of care and nursing best practices. Meg established a Nurse Education Business for clinics and physician offices on Infusion Care outside the hospital setting throughout the Pacific Northwest; in this role, she provided hands-on training and competency testing for medical staff to care for and access venous central lines, utilizing the best standards of care and infection prevention. This allowed many patients living in rural areas of the Pacific Northwest to receive critical nursing care for central lines in their local communities.
